Thirty-one years and approximately 121 days ago I was born in a taxi cab somewhere between Monrovia and Arcadia, California. You see, my father, henceforth to be known as "BioDad", had a softball game that night and took the car. My mother went into labor at about 9:00 pm and decided to wait for biodad to come home to drive her to the hospital. A few hours later biodad was still MIA so a neighbor called a cab (not many folks owned cars in the trailer park back then). Mom hopped in the cab and I decided to pop out. The cab driver freaked out and pulled over in front of a bar. He ran inside and an inebriated mechanic named Sam came to the cab and pulled me out and cut the cord (too long - resulting in a 2.5 inch "outie" that I had cosmetically repaired at age 12...but that's another story for another time). My mother and I eventually made it to a hospital where I was officially entered into the record of humanity. Given my beginnings it is not so strange that I have been on the move ever since...
